Abstract: The contact resistance of electrical connectors is an important indicator to measure its contact performance. In order to make research on the contact resistance variation of electrical connectors under the simultaneous actions of temperature field, current field and vibrating field, the paper, based on the contact resistance theory under the multi-field coupling, adopts ANSYS and COMSOL for simulation analysis. Then, taking the REB electrical connector as the experimental object, the paper makes analysis of simulation results through the orthogonal experiment. It not only verifies the correctness of the contact resistance theory, but also achieves the law of physical fields’ effects on the contact resistance.
Key words: electrical connector; multi-field coupling; orthogonal experiment; contact resistance
